She travels extensively and has a love of Paris and most of Italy. She speaks Italian and is now studying the French language although initially her concentration is on the complex pronunciation. She then intends to tackle the grammar and continue to work on adding to her vocabulary of French words, she is taking classes locally.
One of her most recent interests is in Bread Making and she has done extensive research into many methods. She recently undertook some professional training in Paris for Bread and Pastry and now bakes at weekends for herself and her family. She posts her baking activities on this site and with her Facebook group ‘Bread Making and Baking Addicts’.
Carole’s was born in Maitland NSW Australia long before the area became trendy. She grew up in Newcastle NSW, an east cost industrial town approx 200km north of Sydney. After leaving secondary school she trained to be a lettering artist and ultimately her creative skills led her to a very successful career in advertising where she reached board level with an international agency.
After several years living in Milan, Italy she returned to Australia in 1993 and set up a design and manufacturing business Carocino & Associates specialising in stationery.
She decided in 2007 to leave her urban lifestyle in North Sydney for a more tranquil environment so she could concentrate on her writing and her love of sculpture. She works primarily in timber and found objects and her sculpture works are assemblies mostly in antique japanese boxes.
In 2013 her first book was published. A brutally honest memoir about her life and her three year experience with internet dating. She now has a publishing company, TMIP Publishing offering selective first time writers the opportunity to publish their stories as soon as their manuscripts are completed. TMIP published their first title in 2014 ‘They Met In Paris’ an anthology on Passion by ten passionate Australian authors who met in Paris.
